Hi!

When Jonathan and I were on our first trip to DisneyWorld during our honeymoon, we wanted to make the most of every second. So when we saw the Magic Kingdom after hours tickets advertised, we knew we had to try it! The after hours tickets are an extra expense, but they are incredibly worth it if you are limited on time, but full of energy and Disney excitement! Notice how few people are even behind us in the castle picture!

Surprising to us, the admissions (where they only let about 3,000 people into magic kingdom, compare that to 10,000+ people at a time!) was not the only incredible perk. During these after hours, you get free unlimited soda and water beverages, popcorn and ice cream. Essentially, you are buying yourself dinner and no wait on seven dwarfs mine train! Literally, NO wait. We went on this ride with the maximum wait being twenty minutes during these times. It was glorious. We even rode it’s a small world by ourselves!

In case you can’t tell, I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing tickets to these events. Although January and February don’t seem like crowded times, the happiest place on earth is always crowded, and what better way to experience Disney then with the opportunity for less crowds?

Here’s the deets:

  • You can check in around 4pm to get your tickets if you already have a regular park pass for that day. If not, you cannot come in until 8pm (still, worth it.)

  • Popcorn, ice cream and beverage stands are not in their typical areas, but there is one per land

  • Don’t worry about the tickets selling out, but don’t wait too long. We went once with tickets purchased months in advance, and loved it so much we bought tickets for the next night too!

  • Cost: $119/person if purchased ahead of time $124 day of tickets AP/DVC: $89/person

PS. In 2018, Disneyland in CA hosted a Disney After Dark: Throwback Night! It does not seem like it had all of the perks that DisneyWorld’s after hours nights do as far as food and drink goes, but it looks like a blast!!

The Dates were:

January 18, 2018 from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Hopefully they do it again in 2019! Dates TBD

By buying this ticket, you may also enter the park as early as 6pm! The party just starts at 8! At $95/person, that is a pretty good deal! AP holders, I encourage you to call Disney Tickets to double check about AP prices, because it might be cheaper for you!
