Pregnancy Products:

  • the nicest pregnancy pillow you can find - worth the money 

  • Heating pad for body cramping in 3rd trimester

  • Tums or Papaya Enzymes for Heartburn

  • Ginger tea for nausea 

  • Journal to write down ideas, notes, letters to baby, etc. 

Hospital Packing List: for the grown ups

  • Accordion folder for all the paper they give you while your the most tired you’ve ever been 

  • Hair ties

  • Personal toiletries 

  • When you leave the hospital, pack every material in the room with you! Pads, blankets, diapers, tuck pads, ice packs, nipple cream, etc. 

  • When your in the hospital, insurance typically only includes food for the mom - say you’re ordering 2 entrees so that your husband can eat too 

  • Breast pump if you are going to pump and have one. If you want to but don’t have one, you can request to use one of the hospital’s. Even if nothing comes out, this will help your supply start to come in.

Hospital Packing List: for baby

  • Velcro or zip up swaddles so you don’t have to try to figure out the blanket swaddles in the hospital

  • Going home outfit 

  • Installed car seat 

Vaginal Delivery Recovery 

Make padsicles around 36 weeks

Peri bottle 

Always Diapers for 2-3 weeks

Gatorade or pedialite 

C-Section Recovery

(I recommend having these in a just in case list on Amazon, and if you end up having one have a family member order them for you right after)

  • C Section Recovery Underwear 

  • Always Diapers for 2-3 weeks (you’ll need these even if you have a C-section) 

  • Supportive back pillow - pillows anywhere around the house that you’ll sit

  • Some kind of recovery belt (not anything that advertises waist trimming - this is meant to hold your stomach together so it doesn’t hurt to move) 

  • Feeding/pumping/snack station where you can sit throughout the day with minimal movement for the first week or so

  • Some type of lap desk that raises high enough over your incision. This way you can craft or watch TV on it while in bed. 

  • Gatorade or pedialite and bone broth
